A bay window is a window set in a space that projects outwards from the main wall of the house.

Tilt & Turn windows are a modern design that can be opened in two ways. In the ‘tilt’ position, the window is hinged at the bottom, so that it opens towards you from the top. In the ‘turn’ position, it operates from hinges at the side, opening like a normal casement. This gives you lots of possibilities but is generally used where a large opening is required as the window is manufactured with door-like hinges.
Give you total freedom of choice when it comes to ventilation. You can either set them back on the tilt mechanism, creating just enough space to allow air to circulate or set the window to turn and throw it wide open if you want to give your room a good airing.
They are available in all shapes, sizes and types of finish. Frames can be uPVC, aluminium or timber.
Provides extra security and safety. The tilt setting provides ventilation without leaving a way in for unwanted visitors. At the same time, the turn setting means they can be opened very wide, quickly from the inside, providing an escape route in the event of an emergency.
They are extremely easy to clean inside and out without the need for external ladders.
uPVC (sometimes written PVC-U) is a frame made out of Polyvinyl Chloride plastic. It is the most widely used material for window frames nowadays for very good reasons.
Aluminium is very versatile and all frames are thermally broken so condensation cannot travel through the metal. We always supply “A” rated glazing as standard.
Although timber is more expensive than other materials, some would say that the advantages it offers are priceless.
Timber alternative windows retain the look and feel of traditional timber, whilst benefitting from all the advantages of uPVC.

A casement window is hinged at the side of the frame to open and close like a door. They can be installed singly, or in pairs within a single frame.
Elegant sash windows are frequently found in listed Georgian or Victorian buildings throughout Gloucestershire.
